My freaking check engine light came on a day later! I assume this is due to the cat being gutted so I haven't checked the code yet. I cannot believe there isn't a way to wire or connect something to fool the ECU. We have all these techies and cool devices but nothing to fool an O2 sensor. I also got busted by johnny law. IT appears that California has a new law where they can pull you over and check your car fully at the officers disgression if he feels your car is too loud. I had broken my AEM and stuffed in a temp short stick intake and he sited me for illegal emissions. I now have to hit the state referee for a full blown emissions test. He was such a prick the whole time too when I asked questions. This is the first time I've had a really bad experience here in Sunnyvale. Thank God I have a solution to fix my AEM BETTER than new thanks to BLWN GSR (our new member).

Well look at it as the glass being half full Silvino. He could have busted your A$$ the day you took those highspeed pics for us on the freeway smile I am so glad I don't live in some as backwards place like Cali. But there is some crazy law trying to bann SC, turbo, and NO2 from being used on the street on cars that didn't come from the factory like that frown It shouldn't pass but it is redick that they are even going to try it. But hey, no emissions testing.

Actually, you can do something. You need to splice in a ~10 Ohm resistor in the wire leading from the second O2 sensor to the ECU. This works for Prelude's which have the bitchiest ECU of them all.

Don't ask me which color wire though, you'll have to figure that out for your own car.

I called a company who does O2 simms for LS1's and the guy needs some information from me then we can figure out a kit for the GSR. It would snap right on and fake out the ECU. You can then pull it off if you need to slip the cat back on and run emissions testing. I'll post as goon as I find out everything for him.

    Silvino,

OBD 2 measures the difference between the two sensors to detect converter performance. This was one of many aspects of OBD 2 that make it harder to crack than OBD 1.

Short out the maintenance plug and turn the ignition on. The CE light will flash the digits to you.

    e.g. Flash, FlashFlashFlashFlash = Code 14

actually there is something relatively easy you can do to fool the o2. Take a piece of wire and solder it to the tip of your o2. Take that wire and ground it to the chasis. Zip tie the 02 down so it dosent rattle around. I tied and bolted mine to my transmission.
